Fisheye lenses are often used to enlarge the field of view of a conventional camera, the FOV may reach 180 degrees or even more, but the round scene looks strange for a human. We people are familiar with flat scene without any distortion. So Fisheye lens distortion correction comes out, it’s an image processing application which transforms the distorted fisheye images back to the natural-looking vision. We have developed a fisheye lens distortion correction system on an AHD camera board that includes a single chip. It’s a real-time, performance critical and cost sensitive systems with hardware-software interaction mechanisms.
